
The
Myrtle Beach area will welcome Canadian & American visitors March13-21 for Canadian-American Days, a festival that has been a Myrtle Beach staple since 1961. The festival has a full line-up of fun events, giveaways, discounts and concerts scheduled throughout the Grand Strand.
Canadian-American Days draws as many as 100,000 visitors. Participants can choose from a variety of entertainment options, including concerts, dances, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, charity golf tournament, a kickoff celebration expo and numerous other activities.
Highlights of the Canadian-American Days schedule include:
RBC Bank presents the 282nd Army Band at 7pm on March 15: Doors for this event open at 6pm. The concert is free but does require a ticket. Tickets are available at Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce locations. The event will be held at the Beach Church, located at 557 George Bishop Pkwy.
RBC Bank Canadian-American Days Kickoff Celebration Expo on March 16: This event will take place from 10am-1pm and is the official kickoff event for Can-Am Days. It will feature exhibitors, musical entertainment, prizes and giveaways. The event is located at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Exhibit Hall C. This is a FREE event.
16th Annual South Strand Wildlife and History Day on March 17: From 10am-3pm, visitors will be able to enjoy family-friendly entertainment, exhibits and activities. The Taste of Murrells Inlet will also be held during this event. It will present specialties from some of the finest restaurants in Myrtle Beach. This event will b e held at Huntington Beach State Park, located at 16148 Ocean Hwy. It is FREE for Canadians with a valid ID and is only $5 for adults, $3.25 for senior citizens and $3 for children 6-15.
Battle at the Beach presented by RBC Bank on March 18: The second annual Canada vs. USA Battle at the Beach will take place at 11am on March 18. All tournament profits benefit Myrtle Beach Haven. The event is held at the Pine Lakes Country Club at 5603 Granddaddy Drive.
RBS Bank presents the 208th Army Reserve Band on March 19: At 7pm, the 208th Army Reserve Band will take the stage at the Christ United Methodist Church located at 2901 Fantasy Way. The event is FREE but tickets are required and can be picked up at the Kickoff Celebration Expo.
RBC Bank presents the U.S. Navy Band on March 20: At 7pm, the U.S. Navy Band will perform at the Beach Church, located at 557 George Bishop Pkwy. Again, tickets are FREE but required and can be picked up at the Kickoff Celebration Expo.
