Coastal Uncorked Food & Wine Fest Set for Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach will host the inaugural Coastal Uncorked Food & Wine Festival May 16-23, 2010. Attendees will be able to enjoy a tasting trolley around town and a variety of culinary events featuring coastal cuisine, beer and wine tastings, live music and cooking demonstrations. This will be great event to showcase the unique and delicious flavors that are found in coastal Myrtle Beach.

The Coastal Uncorked Restaurant Week will feature $20 pre-fixed menus from participating area restaurants from across the Grand Strand. All local restaurants are invited to participate. A few of those that are participating include Waterscapes, King Street Grille, Aspen Grille, Sea Captain’s House, Divine Fish House, Croissants Bistro & Bakery, Bovine’s, Gordon Biersch Brewery, Divine Prime, Blue Crab Restaurant, Travinia Italian Kitchen & City Bar.

There will be several exciting events taking place over the Coastal Uncorked Week in Myrtle Beach. The Coastal Uncorked Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 19 at the Pine Lakes Country Club. An oceanfront champagne reception will be held on May 20 from 5-8pm and will feature live entertainment and art. Various wine-themed dinners are also scheduled throughout the week, as are a variety of culinary classes. Coastal Uncorked’s signature event will be the Tasting Trolley, which will be available May 21 & 22. Tasting Trolley will take Coastal Uncorked participants around Myrtle Beach at various stops featuring wine tastings, beer tastings, spirits tastings, food demonstrations & sampling, and live entertainment. The week will wrap up with the Coastal Uncorked Food Fight Chef Competition & Gala, where local chefs will compete in an “Iron Chef” style competition. Culinary, beer and wine stations from area Myrtle Beach restaurants will also be on hand during the event.
