"Nice people, poor buffet"
August, 2017
We booked the buffet dinner cruise with our 15 and 16 year old grandchildren. The dinner "buffet" was pitiful. It consisted of a basic salad, mashed potatoes, canned green beans and shredded chicken and pork. Also a small pudding type dessert.
It was extremely hot and the captain and photographer had each family or couple get a photo before boarding ( they sell them afterwards for $25 each ). There was no way to avoid this .
The cruise itself wasn't bad. It's a nice ride down the waterway and the highlight is seeing all the beautiful homes, including a couple celebrity homes.
The music on board is ok. It started out rather poor and dated and got a little better as we went along.
The people running it were extremely kind and friendly. I give them a 5.
I would suggest just doing the sightseeing tour. Otherwise you will be disappointed in the " dinner cruise"

"Our first family vacation"
June, 2016
I booked on line and saved some money . As a grandmother raising my 2 grandkids we are on a budget . I wanted this first ever vacation to be fun and relaxing and exciting all in one . We have been through some tough times as I am raising my grandkids in the foster care system waiting to adopt after divorce is final . It's been almost two years of many changes and we are blessed to go on our first family vacation. We really enjoyed the Barefoot princess. The man that sang and narrated was awesome. The crew was friendly and we got a memorable plaque with our picture in front of the Barefoot Princess after the tour . We got to relax and sight see and saw even Jimmy Buffet house . It was fun and inexpensive . And also was a great memory for our vacation

"Keep the Barefoot Princess Cruises"

A dinner cruise was the perfect way to end my visit to Mrytle Beach. I cruised on October 11, 2017 on the 4:30 to 6:30 dinner cruise. The boat cruises down the intra coastal water way and it's a very nice cruise. The water is very calm. The crew was OUTSTANDING, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. My mother though she can walk doesn't get around as good as she once did, was in a wheelchair, a man by the name of Mike put her on the boat, and made sure that she was seated at the front of the boat so that she had a good view. They even let us fix our plates first before the called the rest of the guest for dinner. The meal was a buffet, there was a huge tossed salad with ranch and vinaigrette dressings, mashed loaded potatoes with plenty of bacon, green beans with sliced onions, pulled chicken with barbecue sauces to add if you wanted to, pulled barbecue pork with sweet rolls and banana pudding for dessert. The meal was delicious. The music was being played by a one man band/DJ, who was very good, to give himself a break, he would play music from a cd. Though I only had 3 other people dancing with me, we did the Electric Slide, the Cupid Shuffle and the Twist and danced that good meal off!! While cruising down the water way we were given a little history along the way, while viewing some of the beautiful homes along the river. Johnny Depp and Jimmy Buffet both have homes on the water way. If you get the opportunity to take this cruise please do so, this year will be your last chance, they're stopping the cruises because the docking area is being closed. Jimmy Buffet's sister is opening a restaurant and Barefoot Landing doesn't want the boats docked there. I'm hoping that someone else will offer the crew an opportunity to operate elsewhere, it would be a shame to lose this dining experience. Good Luck Barefoot Princess and thank you for such a lovely cruise!

"Dinner "cruise" ??"

Food was mediocre, thought there would be more than just a boring trip up the river and back. Overpriced for what you got. Had hard time finding dock because of construction. Found out this business is closing, so i doubt if they care about return customers.
