"Our first family vacation"
June, 2016
I booked on line and saved some money . As a grandmother raising my 2 grandkids we are on a budget . I wanted this first ever vacation to be fun and relaxing and exciting all in one . We have been through some tough times as I am raising my grandkids in the foster care system waiting to adopt after divorce is final . It's been almost two years of many changes and we are blessed to go on our first family vacation. We really enjoyed the Barefoot princess. The man that sang and narrated was awesome. The crew was friendly and we got a memorable plaque with our picture in front of the Barefoot Princess after the tour . We got to relax and sight see and saw even Jimmy Buffet house . It was fun and inexpensive . And also was a great memory for our vacation
Tip: Book ahead and enjoy the ride

The staff was enthusiastic. The food was delicious & the temperature was hot eventhough we were the third group to go to the buffet. The live beach music was great. We would go again and we would highly recommend.

An interesting way to spend an afternoon on a warm & sunny day. Be prepared to be publicly embarrassed by the photographer if you choose not to have your photo taken.

The scenery along the banks of the waterway are absolutely gorgeous. I loved looking at the homes of the rich & famous along the boat ride but that is where the fun stopped. We had our class reunion aboard the ship and the interior of the boat was in need of updating. I can't believe I flew to the east coast and got all dressed up for this event on this boat. Everyone I spoke with the next day at our farewell breakfast got sick from the dinner we had while aboard the ship. The dinner rolls were the best part of the meal. Everything tasted bad aside from that. There were large spiders with massive webs on the outside of every window and it was very distracting while we ate because the cooler it got the more active the spiders became. The BBQ we had for dinner was extremely sweet and tasted like it was "store bought." The food was so bad we de-boarded the ship and went to eat at another establishment. The DJ needs to add updated tunes to his collection and offer more diversity. The photographer was amazing! We were impressed with the work she provided us. Her prices were reasonable and the class reunion plaque was well worth the $20 we each spent. So, the perks of this dinner cruise were the rolls, million dollar homes along the banks of the water way & the photography souvenirs you could purchase.

"Lovely dinner cruise!"

We sailed the Barefoot Princess during our fall week at North Myrtle Beach this year. Our daughter had given us a gift certificate for a dinner cruise after we'd raved over the sightseeing cruise we enjoyed last year. The dinner cruise was quite enjoyable! From the good selection of drinks at the cash bar (great tropical selections-I highly recommend the Bahama Mama!) to the nice meal served buffet style to the enjoyable DJ who sang, narrated a tour, and also played some fun dance music, it was a lovely evening! The food wasn't fancy (salad, BBQ, chicken breaststroke, mashed potatoes, green beans with slivered almonds, and a parfait) but it was definitely good and there seemed to be plenty and the meal was appropriate for the price. They take a nice picture upon boarding the boat. These are available on a plaque at the conclusion of the trip, but there is no high pressure to purchase. I would definitely recommend either the sightseeing cruise or the dinner cruise! We will most likely return on another visit.
