"The worst"
December, 2017
Molten Mountain mini golf is a dump. Shabby is being kind. The ‘grass’ surfaces are ancient, the decor looks like a bunch of grade schoolers designed it, which is unfair to grade schoolers but you get the idea. They keep the lights low for the indoor part so you
can’t see it well. Almost 40 bucks for 4 people of which about 1 dollar goes to maintenance. Don’t waste your time and money.

"A very disappionting experience"
August, 2017
No imagination went into creating any of the 36 holes we played. The design and layout of the two courses were extremely simple with very little to no suspense on any of the holes. What you see from the highway (which is very little) is what you get. With so many other amazing options along Hwy 17, we made a poor choice based on the glowing online reviews. Lesson learned.

"Family Game Night"
July, 2017
My family enjoyed our first round of miniature golf on the indoor course. After we finished it, we won a pass for another round of golf when we returned our golf balls. We used the pass and played the outdoor course that same night. We found the outdoor one more fun and challenging because of the added spinner challenge. We won another game after the outdoor round. The staff was friendly. The place provide a fun activity for all ages. We purchased the family pass and found it to be a great value.

Tip: Since you take turns using the course with other people, be prepared to spend at least an hour on each round.

Attendant didn’t say much when we got in, we played behind a group of 14 that wouldn’t let us through, and afterwards the same attendant didn’t say a word, or even look up from playing candy crush on her iPad. Truly an awful time.

We played the indoor course. It desperately needs some attention. Smells musty inside. Holes are very plain Jane. There are much better courses in the area. We will not be going back unfortunately.

This was a fun place on a rainy day. Has a good 18 hole indoor course inside the volcano. Has some challenging holes. Lots of fun.

"There are 2 courses: 1 indoor & 1 outdoor. Wish we would've known that!"

We are frequent Myrtle Beach goers so we've pretty much played every putt-putt place on Hwy 17. However the last time I played Molten Mountain Golf was a very long time ago so my friends and I decided to give it a try again. It was a nice breezy evening and we went into it thinking the course was both indoors and out. Immediately when we walked in the place, it smelled like a nasty public bathroom. The woman taking payment looked less than thrilled to be there and didn't even greet us when we walked in. In fact she didn't say two words to us. Their signage leading to the course was a little unclear- we did see make shift sign stuck on a door that read, "Outside". We figured it was an exit door, not a door to another course. So we followed the hallway to the course that remained indoors. Once we got into the main room, it smelled like asbestos. So our immediate thought was man, I hope we get to the outside part soon so we don't have to smell this funky odor. Well, we kept playing and playing and got to hole number 12 and figured out, the course never goes outside! So we really didn't want to keep playing because the chemical smell was giving us headaches, plus we were really looking forward to playing outside since it was such a nice evening. When we turned in our putters the same woman was still slouching over the counter and I asked her if there was an outdoors course. She responded with one word, "yes". Man, we would've loved to haven known that (*sarcastically thinking). The course itself was challenging and the greens were tidy, but the overpowering smell of chemicals made the whole experience unenjoyable. If they can get the smell under control then the one course would be an ideal activity for a rainy day. But given our experience, we won't be back.

"Lame Course. So many other options to choose from in the area."

There is nothing special or even slightly challenging about this place! The volcano is all there is. Staff was friendly so that's a plus and why it got two stars from me. Save your money.
