Description

from Myrtle Beach SkyWheel
First, man flew to the moon and then, in 2011, they invented the SkyWheel – the first observation wheel of its kind in the United States. Want a better perspective? The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel is 200-feet above sea level. Take a flight overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk in one of our 42 climate controlled and fully enclosed gondolas.

Situated as a centerpiece of the 1.2 mile-long Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade, the SkyWheel is surrounded by some tasty eats, great shopping and the pristine sands of the Atlantic. When you’re done having your breath taken away by the view from your flight, browse the LandShark SurfShack and then grab a bite at the LandShark Bar & Grill.

The ride lasts approximately 12 minutes with 4 rotations of the wheel.

Children under the age of 2 get to ride free with an Angel Ticket. Must visit the box office upon arrival to receive angel ticket.

"Great Views!"
September, 2018 NEW
My family and I went to the boardwalk area to walk around and my boyfriend and brother decided to go on the sling shot so I decided to take my 1 year old and 8 year old on the SkyWheel. Best decision! They loved it. Both were in awe of the views and how far you could see. The sky was clear and it seemed to be a full moon so that view was amazing. A bit of a wait but worth it.

"Amazing experience"
September, 2018 NEW
Me, my boyfriend and our two 7 year old girls rode the skywheel in myrtle beach. It was the biggest and most amazing ferris wheel we had ever been on. The view of the ocean and the boardwalk was breathtaking. It was one of the highlights of our vacation and we will share that memory forever. We will definitely be back on our next visit to myrtle beach.

"Better Than Expected"
September, 2018 NEW
I took the whole family with me and was expecting one rotation like it has been for me whenever I take a Ferris Wheel. To my surprise, we had 5 rotations making pros out of those who were afraid at the beginning of the ride.

"awesome and unique view of myrtle beach, do this if you dont do the helicopter tours"
September, 2018 NEW
i was hesitant to go because we have a huge ferris wheel back in chicago, but it was a pretty nice experience. since we didnt do the helicopter tours, the skywheel was a great alternative, considering we had a 4 month old with us. the views up there are amazing, as you can see how grand myrtle beach really is. it seemed to go and on, as it went on at least 7 rotations it seems. worth it, use reserve myrtle beach for a discount.

The experience is amazing. Looking over the ocean from high up as if you are setting in the sky itself and looking over the town is great. The price is a little too much by about $3 a person.

I loved riding this. For $14 per adult, you go around 4 times. It was very nice and had A/C on the inside! The pictures we got from the top were very nice and for an additional $20 you get a picture/magnet set - which is so worth it!

Great views of the town and beach. We went at night which added to the experience. The climate controlled cars can easily accommodate 6 adults and the ride lasts about 15 minutes. The wait was about 15 minutes but they are pretty efficient about keeping things moving.
