"A wonderful Aquarium experience!"
March, 2018 NEW
We have been to the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto, Canada, this one in Myrtle Beach was just as wonderful! Clean, well laid out, with all types of water creatures, my two young children loved it. Sharks, sea turtles, rays and snowshoe crabs were some of the highlights. The only disappointment was not meeting the mermaids who are only there on weekends.

"An awesome day with the ‘grands’"
March, 2018 NEW
Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach is a great place to visit with many different aquatic fish and creatures to see. The best part is walking under the aquarium that the sharks are in and seeing them swimming right over your head.
Getting our tickets through Reserve Direct was a great savings. We will definitely purchase from there again!

Tip: There is also a ‘meet the mermaid’ and get your picture with her but that is only at certain times. You should check their schedule if you want to do that while you are there.

"Great Pearl Harbor exhibit"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed March 18, 2018 NEW
This was a surprise for us as we did not know we were going here. This can be done in about 2 hours and they temporarily have a Pearl Harbor exhibit. This is hands on for the kids yet very informative for adults. In addition , they have touch tanks of horseshoe crabs, jelly fish . The fish tanks are beautiful and the sharks going overhead majestic. Great place to kill 2 hours- on a pier that you can visit when you are done with all kinds of carnival type games and rides( this isn't open in the morning) .

My friends and I did the Stingray Experience and it was so much fun! The behind the scenes tour was also very interesting. Robin, our tour guide, and Mallory, our diver were excellent! We arrived at the aquarium a few hours early so we could enjoy looking around before swimming with the stingrays. They took tons of pictures of us as we were swimming and each person gets a flash drive with all the pictures on it to keep. I highly recommend the Stingray Experience to anyone, young or old.

As with most aquariums it’s a little pricey. I’ve been to the one in Gatlinburg but they both have different things with a few basic items that are the same. I’d recommend getting tickets in advance. I went in the off season and still had to wait a while to purchase tickets.

"Nice aquarium for families!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed March 13, 2018 NEW
We recently spent a few hours at this aquarium. We saw the mermaid show, which the little girls loved. The boys loved looking at the sharks and sting rays while waiting for the show to start. There are many hands-on exhibits, a shark tunnel, and a nice exhibit dedicated to Pearl Harbor that incorporates fish while being very educational. The jelly fish touch tank and sting ray bay area were a huge hit. $100 for a family of 4, but was well spent as we all enjoyed ourselves.
