"Not so bad"

It will be nice for the price if there is some program for the little one. Also the picture up front could be done more professionally. Didn’t purchased mine simply because there was a partial wall that couldn’t be removed completely.

Being able to touch the stingrays and jellyfish were just amazing. The Tunnel is my favorite..I must have spent 30 minutes in there, I kept finding myself walking backwards to re-see a fish. I’ve been to Gatlinburg,TN and Myrtle Beach Aquarium, I would highly recommend both.

I booked through Reserve Myrtle Beach and it was so quick and easy! I just selected the places I wanted to go and paid a fraction of the cost of what I’d pay through Ripley’s.

"Disappointed"
October, 2018 NEW
It was my daughter second birthday and I was trying to do something fun with her. This aquarium was basically a huge gift shop with 4 little sections of different fish. I paid $70+ for two adult and one child ticket I expected it to be way better. Let’s just say I won’t be going back there ever luckily it was at broadway at the beach so we got to have fun afterwards.

Tip: 1. You aren’t getting the big aquarium feel like you’d expect. 2. It’s way too pricey for what you’re getting. It wasn’t a horrible experience it just wasn’t by any means what I expected especially the way the building looks on the outside.

Me and my boyfriend were really disappointed in the aquarium. It may be great for kids, but otherwise, I would not go and pay $30/person. We have a natural science center near where we live in N.C. and their aquarium blows this one out of the water and it’s not even as large.

Overall I liked it and thought it was educational but during the tunnel visit I didn't totally get that under the sea surrounded by man eating sharks feel. You could look up and see that there are just a few inches of water above you. And the biggest shark is a few feet long. I loved the stingrays that you can pet. It's like playing with a litter of playful puppies but in water. Who knew they were so sociable? I would recommend visiting.

"Very Nice Aquarium... and getting better"

It's not the biggest aquarium by far but it does offer quite a bit of sea life for it's footprint. From jellyfish to sharks, you'll see and learn about a lot of the seas creatures. And the touch a Sting ray tank (I think that's what they are) was incredible. How they taught these rays to reach their "wings" up the sides so everyone can pet them is truly amazing. They were like the puppies of the sea, one after another wanting to be touched. With the restaurant and gift shop, this is a definite "Thing to do" in Myrtle Beach. The getting better part: They are adding a new section for penguins for 2019 that should be a great addition. PS: Don't forget to check the Info/Discount store (walk toward the water then look to your right) for any available coupons and save some money. PPS: November has 1/2 off passes. We got 2 adults and 1 child 1 year Ultimate passes for $110 total, good for all Ripleys attractions in MB. Whether visiting or a resident, that's a great deal. Enjoy.
