"Hands on Excitement for Kids"
October, 2017
Our DS9 loved the aquarium. It is not the biggest in the world but the displays are very well done. The Shark tank is a tunnel that you stand on a conveyor belt to view. This slow view of the tank allowed our active 9 yr old to find the posted sea creatures, view them from different angles and figure out which was which. The horseshoe and shark pond is completely touchable. 2 fingers please! and be very gentle. Boy that was fun. Upstairs is a touchable stingray exhibit. Our son did the stingray encounter too. We had a behind the scenes tour, then he donned a swimsuit and dive suit. At the pool a trainer explained all about the animals and instructed the kids on how to behave. She gave each child a snorkel, mask and snorkel vest. DS9 was able to snorkel out into the main tank! It was so cool, along with the encounter, he received a t-shirt and a USB drive filled with beautiful pictures. My husband and I did not do the encounter but were allowed to tour the faciliities with him and takek pictures of his encounter with the stingrays. Afterwards they take a hot shower and redress into street clothes. Best day ever at the aquarium and sure to be an everlasting memory. Adrianna and Meredith made the entire visit super special and unique.

Tip: Not a super big aquarium. Hands on and you may get wet sleeves, Do the stingray encounter it is a winner.

"Not worth the money"
July, 2017
Aquarium not worth the money. Very disappointed. Plus paid extra to do the glass bottom bias. Which was terrible. Not really even a boat. A girl pulls you around on the water with a rope. You see the same fish as you seen walking around in aquariums. What a joke.

"Great except for the exit"
March, 2017
Ripley's Aquarium is a wonderful venue for the whole family. My only objection is the fact that you must exit through the gift shop. Our 2 year old grandson had a meltdown because he wanted everything in the store. Of course all of the stuffed toys are at kid level. Going to the aquarium is an expensive outing for a family without having to deal with small children on the way through the exit.

Tip: Be prepared for young children to have a meltdown in the gift shop because that is the only way to exit the aquarium.

"My Daughter's Most Memorable Vacation"
September, 2016
This aquarium is extremely fascinating! From the live mermaid show to the boat ride to the interactive games for the children, there is fun to be had by the entire family. My three year old daughter was constantly entertained by this facility and didn't want to leave! I consider that a successful vacation. I deeply appreciate the staff and their dedication to the facility. I can't wait to come back, year after year!

"Grandkids summer vacation"
August, 2016
This was our second time going to aquarium. The first time our oldest grandchild was moving around so fast we seem to miss a lot. This time he took his time and explored every corner and animal. They love the petting zone. This experience is something every child needs to experience. Loved it.

Tip: Allow plenty of time to explore the aquarium. It was awesome.

Fantastic aquarium! So much to do ab5d look at. For only $3 you can feed the sting rays. I wish it were more like the feedings at Charleston Aquarium, but i understand that the area is too deep for that. You can interact/ touch jellyfish also, along with small sharks and horseshoe crabs. It's worth the money!

"Festival of Trees"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed November 14, 2017 NEW
We have visited and enjoyed the aquarium on previous trips to the area, but were especially excited to see the Festival of Trees this weekend. They fill the aquarium with beautifully decorated trees representing each state and territory in the U.S. Our family loves holiday activities, and our 8 yr old had a blast discovering different states and checking out the ornaments on each tree. He took photos with each and every one. A unique and lovely experience that we would recommend to Christmas lovers like ourselves.
