I hadn't been to a Ripley's since I was a child so this was a nostalgic stop for me. The young man wasn't sure what to do with our e-tickets and had to go get a manager. She showed him how to ring it up and we were on our way. I had read the reviews that said there was a lot of reading throughout the exhibit but I felt it was balanced with the displays and a few hands on things. It might not appeal to everyone but we enjoyed it.

Wax museums, haunted/fun houses aren't normally my cup of tea but when you're a dad on a morning stroll with his 11y old daughter and you find yourself saying no to every overpriced attraction, well, maybe you need to lighten up. The Ripley's name still has history and a reputation to it so I introduced her to the bizarre world of Shrunken heads, 6 footed pigs and long necked Burmese women courtesy of the old showman of the freak show. She loved it, there's some great interactive attractions inside along with educational moments that made the admission all worthwhile. Kudos to friendly Carole who gave us half price entry for just being Canadian.

Hey, want to go to Ripley's, just go somewhere, lol. Seriously, not too shabby, not great, not lousy, it's a Ripley's, and instead of having one with a bunch of stuff, they have a bunch with less, good strategy I guess, as everytime we see a different Ripley's, we go because a different Ripley's is different.
