"Oddities galore"

This was my families first time to the odditorium, although I visited a few times 30+ years ago. It's been around a looong time! There are so many cool things to see. There's quite a bit of reading to do to get the whole experience, and that might not be too easy for kids say younger than 10. It's good that you go at your own pace so you can spend half an hour if you want or 3 hours if you want. It's definitely a cool thing to do while in Myrtle.

Tip: You can take pictures. Good for older kids 10 and up if you want them to read.

"Not Impressed"

Luckily we were able to get discounted tickets from the Reserve Myrtle Beach site. It saved us $40. But, overall there's nothing new here at Ripley's. It's the same as the other Ripleys. We spent $55 for a family of 5 and were out of there in 40 minutes.

"Ripleys"
May, 2018
First of all , super convenient to purchase tickets o Reserve - thanks!! We decided at the last minute to check out Ripleys - and I was a hero for instant tickets. The place is interesting, curious. Ok for the price - lots of “replicas of”. Decent for the price. The building seems very old and smelled funny, but the staff members we came into contact with were great- friendly and helpful. It was estimated to take 45 min, depending on how busy they are and how quickly you move through the rooms.

Tip: Parking on the street tough- if you don’t get something close , you may have to walk a bit. Bring a debit/credit card for the meter( or change of course)

We had a blast. It’s really a great time once you get past the exhibits. We stayed in here way longer than expected. I would recommend going to wonderworks for just a little bit more money you get all of this plus way more. Worth your time and money

A museum with dozens of strange, bizarre and sometimes eerie artifacts. Some young children and claustrophobics may not enjoy the beginning, but fear not as you will get to a large room with some very neat interactive areas that use Xbox kinects for fun and learning. When you're done there, you'll get to the dance room where your image is projected onto a movie sized screen and it's time to "Dance like nobody is watching". Jump around and wave your arms while you look at the beautiful graphics you're creating on the screen. We had the room to ourselves for over 30 nonstop minutes. Think I got some brownie points for taking her to a museum and dancing, we'll see. Finally, you'll exit through the arcade and wonder why you're leaving a museum sweaty, tired and happy.

I have visited a different location of Ripley's Believe It Or Not and recalled it being very interesting and full of all kinds of artifacts. Based on that experience my husband and I had high hopes for this one. The most interesting things were items made out of "recycled" materials - metal, car parts, etc. Most of the displays are very poorly lit and hard to see making you not want to stop and read about them but to continue walking through the displays. Did see a mother with her two children and they seemed to enjoy them. Not thrilled it dropped you in an arcade. If I had kids I would be trying to find a different escape route! Save your money and visit the aquarium instead!

Most of the items in the muesum were interesting, however, I was hoping for more/something bigger. I have never been to one of their muesums before, so I guess I didn't really know what to expect. The staff was nice and said that if it was too scary for my children, that they would let us do something else. However, my children were able to handle it.

Getting rather run down. Went through it about 3 years ago. Same stuff. Not quite as smelly. A few new things like Trump picture made out of chewing gum. I cant walk very well, they had an elevator but no one around to operate it. I have a year pass to all the Ripleys. Its kind of expensive. The Ripleys that is better is in Las Vegas. Just saying.
