My husband and I tried this out on our trip to Myrtle. The Zipline was very awesome. Perfect rush and very safe. The Ropes Course was not.The Course had no organization whatsoever. Everyone could complete however they wanted to which left 4 people stuck on a little platform so other people could pass by. That was super scary!!!
Tip: The zipline was a thrill! So very awesome above the water!!!!

This was our first time zip lining which made a neat experience however I probably wouldn't go back. It is over fast however the movement of the zip line wasnt very fast. Nice to try but won't be doing it again, there anyways.

I purchased a Groupon for the combo of the ropes course and zipline. Having now experienced both attractions, I would not pay full price for them, but the Groupon pricing was a good deal. ($56 for four people to do both activities, total.) My family (kids 10 and 15) enjoyed the ropes course. As other people have mentioned, the 10 year old did struggle at times to push her rope above her as she moved through the course. That caused her some aggravation, and who doesn't love an overheated, aggravated 10 year old girl? :D As for the zipline, I have ziplined a lot. I've done smaller courses as well as Asheville's Navitat course that takes you from mountaintop to mountaintop 350 feet high. When I was about to return to the first deck on the Soar and Explore zipline (the employee was holding my rope, about to let go) I glanced over and noticed the strap for the harness that should have been on my right shoulder was hanging at my waist. The person working the deck had paid no attention to my gear to make sure it was tight enough as they hooked me up to the line. Because I've done this before I knew to pull the strap up and tighten it, but that is a pretty significant oversight on the employee's part. Flyer beware!

It was great, however they only get to go across and back once. It was really not worth what they charge (27 a person). The kids however thought it was great!

Our kids did the ropes and zip line at Soar & Explore. This is part of Wonderworks at Broadway at the Beach. They had a lot of fun. The ropes course was first and they did have to wait a bit for their turn. Ropes course was pretty intense. Three stories of different rope challenges and activities. You start at the bottom and work you're way up and back down the course. It's very safe. You're always tethered to a safety harness and the structure. Once you make your way through the ropes course, you move to the zip line. Again this very safe as your tethered to the towers and the zip line the whole time. The boys had a great time. They all agreed the ropes was more intense and fun because it's more involved. The zip was an adrenaline rush though.

What a waste! They have foreign employees working this attraction that cannot communicate the instructions in English! My daughters were left on the course basically just walking up & down the stairs for 10 minutes. They could not pull the rope above their heads through the guides and got frustrated. No employee could help them, although there were many just standing around. No one told us you had to be super strong to pull the rope along with you! The manager was very rude & snarky with me when I asked for a refund & explained my frustrations. No refund given! Not for 10 years olds without parent or employee help! Very disappointed and a waste of money!
