"not worth the money"
December, 2017 NEW
For over $100, It was not worth it. It is like a science center that was over crowded. The rope course was fun but it took like 20 min. The one thing that they advertised was "upside down world" besides the outside, that is all that is upside down. The big attractions had huge wait times. Wish we would have went to the aquarium instead. The wax museum was a blast too. Much more value for the money.

"Extra, extra"

There is a map of the place with coupons for food and toys. The catch is it costs $4.00! The discount for food may cover the cost of the map but get free coupon in the vender magazine's. IN REALITY, map should be included with the price of admission.

"It was okay"
August, 2016
We have a kids museum in Raleigh, NC that we just LOVE so I was thinking this was going to be similar. There was A LOT of arcade stuff, like a whole floor worth, where you had to spend more money. This is NOT a kids museum. We did enjoy the ropes coarse + lazer tag and a few exhibits, but having to pay this price + additional money is ridiculous. They should def reconsider the meaning of a kid museum.

Tip: take extra money because you'll get sucked into the arcade.

I had very low expectation going into this place. It just didn't seem like the type of place I would enjoy, boy was wrong. The kids wanted to come here so we did, it ended up being such a fun time. It had so much to look at and so many interactive exhibits including a ropes course that my husband and son did. My daughter (6) go scared halfway up to it and I was 6 months pregnant so we did not do this. They also had a 3D interactive movie type of thing that the kids really enjoyed. The only part that disappointed me was that there was an exhibit that was see how hard you can throw the ball and how hard you can kick a ball and it was out of order.

We hit some cold, rainy weather in Myrtle Beach, and Wonderworks came to the rescue. Buy your tickets on line ahead of time to get the best price. Get there when it opens. Our party had kids from age 7-13, and adults up to age 82, and it was fun for everyone. Elevators for those who need it. Everything from rides and simulators to climbing and laser tag.

I'd seen the building on numerous occasions but did not go until we were vacationing in Myrtle Beach and had a bad weather day that really didn't allow for any outside activities. We had such a great time! Multiple floors of hands-on activities for kids of all ages to do. My 71 yr old mother had just as much fun as my 12 yr old son! :)

This place could have been so much more! We went during the cold snap (highs in the 30's) and it wasn't very busy. It was still rather difficult to enjoy some of the attractions even with it being less busy. I can't imagine spending $94 for our family of 3 to visit WonderWorks in the summer when Myrtle Beach is swamped with visitors. Many of the exhibits were broken, dirty, or out of date. The 6D theater was less thrilling and more like sitting in a massage chair, getting wacked in the head with a plastic baseball bat, watching a 90's 3D movie at the drive-in with your A/C on high. The most interesting and enjoyable exhibit was the indoor ropes course on the upper level. The laser tag was great when we went off the hour (on the hour, lines as too long or filled with birthday parties). Extra rounds of laser tag are reasonably priced at $3 per person. For us, this was definately a one and done. Maximize your value with a trip in the off season.
