This resort was great for our family vacation. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Location was close enough to the attractions and has a beautiful view in the ocean front rooms. We will be back.
Tip: ABC on, small resort fee

"Family vacation"

Over the years we have stayed here 3 or 4 times. They have it all so the possibility for a successful vacation is there. They have four elevators, during our stay all four were out of service for a bit, and two of them were out for most of the day on Friday Aug 18th. No one from Bay Watch monitors who is using their facilities so there were people that were not even staying there that we using the pools, I found this out by talking to people that told me that weren't even staying there. Many times we went to get a towel but there were not to get. There were no balls allowed in the pools but you evidently walk around in them with your alcohol, try to figure that one out.

I rented unit 1212 in baywatch2 from Elliott. The furniture is very old & uncomfortable. There are 4 HUGE wooden chairs in balcony that obstruct the view, 2 of which are safety hazards since they are referee height chairs!! The carpet is dirty & needs to be changed. Dishwasher doesn't wash well & dryer doesn't dry well either. Iron leaks water while pressing clothes & is attached to ironing table so doesn't extend that far! Drawers in mb fall on opening Main issue: I found COCKROACHES inside dishwasher & around it 4 times!!!!!!

"Do Not Rent Through Elliot Realty!!! Outdated & Filthy! MUST READ!"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed August 19, 2017 NEW
Where do I begin? First off, I have my complaints about Elliott Realty. Yes, I know Oceana manages this page but Oceana needs to think about who they let rent there. Perhaps Elliott Realty should be taken out of the equation. (Take note, I've vacationed in Myrtle Beach and other beaches for 30 years and have never written a review) This resort is filthy and outdated. You have to use a bellhop to bring your luggage in (must tip obviously or you feel like a jerk). This could be good except ours loaded ALL of our luggage on the cart and put our groceries on top of that. Had I loaded my own, I would not have loaded our groceries on top. We got to our room for the first time and it wasn't ready at 6:10 despite receiving a text at 5:10 that it was ready (thanks Elliott!). The bellhop took our luggage in anyway!!!!!! The room hadn't been cleaned at all! I made him bring it all back out. Finally, two cleaners came (who couldn't even speak English) and they "cleaned" it in 30 minutes. I can't even clean two bedrooms in 30 minutes let alone a whole condo. They failed to pick up garbage covering the space outside the front door. HORRIBLE FIRST IMPRESSION! The two cleaners pushed my cart out of the way and knocked my milk gallon off. It busted all over. This is both the cleaners fault and the bellhop's. It should have never been loaded there. The cleaners never should have touched my cart. They laughed about it and left it there in the outdoor hallway. I motioned them back and pointed at it to be taken away. Again, they didn't know English. I still haven't been reimbursed for the milk despite talking to the front desk and to Elliott Realty. The cleaners didn't really "clean". Bath tub was moldy. Shower curtain was moldy which they finally came to replace a few days later. Carpets were not swept and they came promptly to sweep them. I asked that the floors be mopped and Elliott said they would come- they never came. There were disgustingly dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. How did the cleaners miss that??? There was a dirty swiffer just sitting there- but it seemed as if they weren't even the ones that used it. There were period, poop, and pee stains on the beds (see pics below) Oh, not to mention, Bay Watch 3 AND Elliott all failed to mention our unit is right above the bar who has a live band play EVERY (not just weekends) night from about 6-11pm. We couldn't even hear our tv. With two small kids, this was horrible. My favorite thing to do on vacation is to read on the balcony at night and hear the ocean and I couldn't even do that. I just wanted to leave. Elliott could care less about our problems. I tried to review them on Facebook and there is no review bar- HUGE RED FLAG!!!! They also deleted all of my comments and other people's as well- HUGE RED FLAG!! They also made it to where I cannot "unlike" them. NEVER AGAIN, ELLIOTT. I will tell any and everyone I know and all of Facebook. Now for the resort itself: The pools, hot tubs, and lazy river are extremely dirty. I sit out on the balcony very early in the morning. Not once did I see anyone clean the pools or check the ph. Every other condo I've stayed at, I've seen them cleaning. They are doused with sand and hair. The spray off areas are also covered in sand thus creating the pool sand problem. After washing your feet, you step right back into sand again and need to wash off in the pool! We got down to the pool at the exact time it opens every morning and the pools were filled with sand- 100% they weren't cleaned all week. The walkway on the bottom floor is consistently covered in water 24/7- we slipped a ton of times. There is no security here. Anyone and everyone can enter if they wish (which I'm sure makes it even busier). Bellhops are no good as I could pack my luggage on the cart, better (see post above about milk). Hallways were filthy. The parking garage is horrid. It is so tightly packed you can barely get your car out of the spot and you are constantly afraid you will hit someone. It was also quite the walk. Beach and "resort" were very crowded. This was no resort. I am not impressed and probably will not be back unless our problems are addressed. Honestly, we should have been reimbursed or moved. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!

"We had a great time! Thank you Angela!!!!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed August 15, 2017 NEW
The first 4 hours at the hotel were a nightmare! We arrived at the hotel at 1:00 pm after driving from New Jersey. The first check-in rep was not at all welcoming. We were told our room was not ready and that check-in starts at 4:00 and we might not get into our room til 5 , 6 or maybe even 7:00 pm!! I then asked if the room was nice and her response was "its a 3 bedroom". I then asked if there was somewhere my family could change, so that we could sit by the pool and relax until the room was ready and her response to that was "no". I tried to remain calm since this was the beginning of our vacation but she definitely was not making it easy. As we were walking away from the check-in counter another representative called me aside and let me know that there was a very nice restroom on the 2nd floor that we could change in. I thanked her and we changed and headed to the pool. I went to get some pool towels. I asked for 6 and was told they only had 4 left. I told the girl there was 6 of us and her response was "i guess i will have to go get more towels" - remember it was only about 2:00 in the afternoon at this point and they were out of towels. Needless to say, i was considering looking into a different hotel. At 4:15, i went back into the lobby to check to see if our room was ready and the check-in was 20 people deep with only 3 representatives working. As i got closer, it appeared that i was going to get the same person i had earlier, so i let someone go ahead of me and waited for the rep who had told me where to change earlier. Her name was Angela and i am so happy i made the decision to wait for her. I told her about all the negatives we had experienced since we arrived and she went down the list one by one and resolved each issue. She took time and explained and handled everything with expertise, efficiency and kindness. She managed to re-start our vacation on a positive note. We stayed in room 915 in the center tower. The kitchen was updated. The master bathroom needs some updates but overall the room was very nice. Besides the first person i dealt with at check-in and the towel girl, everyone else at the hotel was very kind and helpful. The location is great. The breakfast buffet offers plenty of options. The hotels offers 5 free movie rentals, free water park admission, great Italian ice, and a nice indoor and outdoor bar. We even saw a sign that you could rent chairs and an umbrella for only $35.00/weekly. We had traveled with our own beach chairs and umbrellas, but if i do go back, i would definitely look into that. We purchased the vacation insurance for only $30.00 and it was well worth it, just in case......... The first impression of a hotel is important and usually that is delivered at check-in, so therefore, it is very important that those representatives are friendly and kind and make the guest feel welcome. I am so happy that i made the choice to wait for Angela and i would recommend speaking with her if you are dissatisfied with anything. She will def do whatever she can to resolve your issue and make your stay enjoyable.
