From the minute we walked in the door we were extremely happy with our choice. This gem by the sea was well situated on Ocean Blvd. Free parking in well monitored parking lot was an added bonus. We were a short walk to the boardwalk and only several blocks away from the business section with restaurants, miniature golf and stores galore. The decor in the condo was well done and very comfortable. The owners were very amiable and made sure we knew they were only a text away if we had questions. They also sent us info on things to do upon our arrival. In addition they had a book set up with everything we could possibly need during our stay. We were a short walk from the elevator and with all the beach equipment that they provided we enjoyed several afternoons of just enjoying the sunshine. Perfect weather, perfect place, perfect hosts!!!

I booked the Camelot via Priceline. I paused in booking and saw a slight increase in price as a result, but it was still a decent value for last minute Easter weekend travel for an oceanfront beach vacation. My confirmation email said check-in is at 3pm. I read the reviews here (my trusted travel partner) and was alarmed. I called the hotel and expressed my concern, requested an "updated" unit, which I was told that I could do, and also alerted them that I would arrive early. The morning of my trip, I called again to re-confirm my request for an updated unit and remind of my early arrival. I reached the hotel at 12:30pm and I sat in the lobby for 5 hours waiting on a room to become available. Others were waiting too. Terrice at the front desk said check-in is at 4 and pointed to a seemingly new sign in the lobby. None of us had gotten the memo. She said "We been trying to tell them to change that." In the 5 hours I waited,I had the opportunity to witness many transactions. I assure you this is a top notch staff and hats off especially to Jenna Brown! Incredibly nice, accommodating and professional. My first room was not updated. Seating areas were all stained, mirror stained, run down. It was an hours wait until the next room was ready because "management wanted to check to be sure it was okay before I was given the keys". Once there, first thing I saw was a trash bag beside the door. Second thing is that there was trash behind the entry door. The floor had clearly been swept but the sweepings were left behind the door. Hmm, so housekeeping AND management missed this? The kitchen sink, counter and cabinets were new as was the bathroom vanity. Everything else was old. Old, rusty and ready for replacing: stove, fridge, box springs, dinette, 3-drawer chest. The clock didn't work. The mirror in the sitting area was broken. Some furniture was in need of dusting. Make no mistake the property has seen better days and yet there does appear to be some sort of effort going into maintenance. The garage was full of furniture being both moved in and out. I don't know which units they're doing first nor how long it will take. Seems to me when you're renovating a kitchen, you do the whole thing but's not the case for 1103, which is where I stayed. How housekeeping works is a true mystery. The housekeeping staff is very nice, so this is not about the people. However, on the daily visits, we got the run down about what they did NOT do. Do not touch the kitchen. Do not touch the beds. Will replace towels. When we asked for new sheets so we could change the beds ourselves, we were told there would be a charge. Ultimately, a supervisor intervened and gave us a set of sheets. Views are great and no complaints about hot tub and pool area. Enjoyed socializing with adults at the hot tub all nights of our stay. Hopefully one day soon the property will live up to the greatest of the staff it employs. My advice to others is, until the property is cleaned up, careful how much you pay for a stay.

Too long of a list but find another place to stay. Over $400 in cash stolen by their workers, unit not cleaned every day, called for new towels almost every single day, response time to problems took over a day to answer from management staff, elevators hardly ever worked properly. Refunded for part of our stay but this place overall is a disaster.

Camelot by the Sea was a decent place. It was clean and the staff was very nice. They had a great outdoor pool and hot tube, but the pool bar was not opened when we were there and looked in need of repairs and updates. Our room was a 3 bedroom suite on the second floor overlooking the pool and beach. It was a little too close to the pool and we heard noise from there all the time. Next time I will ask for a room higher up. The room itself had good and bad. The good: An amazing Master Bedroom with its own entrance into the balcony, which was long and narrow, but not bad. The room had its own full bathroom, a tv and lots of storage spaces. The view from that room was perfect! The living room was cozy and had a sleeper sofa, with questionable stains on the mattress. The dining room was connected to the living room and sat 6 people comfortably. The kitchen was small but efficient and stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses, pots and pans, coffee maker and a coffee station with coffee packets, sugar, sweetener, etc. There was another bedroom with a queen bed, tv and a dresser and closet. The third bedroom was the worst. 2 twin beds, a tv and dresser. The only window in that room opened up to the parking garage. The curtains had to remain closed which made the room dark, small and uninviting. This is why there are 3 stars instead of 4. That bedroom had its own entrance into the main full bathroom, which was a little bigger than the Master Bathroom. The location was awesome.....walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and activities. You could walk or drive about a mile away to get to Broadway at the Beach, which is a must see for shopping, food and activities. Overall, not a bad place. I would stay there again (but only if I didn't need that third bedroom)!

We rented this condo through VRBO web site. Only rented in June for September after our dog had passed away. Originally were going to stay at a Pet friendly condo. We were going to Myrtle Beach to see my Aunt who is not doing well. Camelot by the Sea is at a great location. Lots of things to do just walking. Several wonderful restaurants and bars. Since my father was not feeling the greatest we rented a golf cart for the time we were there. Awesome you could drive right on the main strip. Another great advantage is you can drive right up to your condo and park. You don't have to park across the street. This is one of the few hotels you can do this on the strip. One disadvantage of renting from a owner is you don't get some of the hotel guest perks, but we did not have to deal with housekeeping. The unit was on the corner I would rent it again, with some more up dating to the condo. Since we had the golfcart we did travel the strip and up a few more blocks the beach and area seemed dirty to us. Over all it was a great last vacation with my Dad.
