My family and I were all going to stay at the Caravelle Resort. Due to the hurricane that damage part of the resort, one of the rooms we booked was unavailable. The manager was nice enough to give my family options on our rooms. It all worked out for the best.

A place we have stayed here for many years for our golf week. Ask for an ocean front view and enjoy the morning sunrise and people watching on the beach. At night stop by the bar below and talk to Luke.

We arrived at the hotel for check in. We were told that we would be in a building that was not what I had reserved. We had booked to be in the main tower which was where the indoor pool restaurant a kids pool area was. This was extremely important to me because I was traveling with my 2 year old. Unfortunately the tower construction was not complete. The front desk told me that they tried to call me but they had a bad number. I asked them to confirm the number and they had my correct cell phone number. I had no record of a call or voice mail. I asked what other options we had and they stuck us at another one of their properties giving us no other choices. We had the breakfast plan and was told that it would be transferred to the new place when we got there they had no record of it.

Sayed for a soccer weekend and loved our unit. Large 3 bedroom, clean, with comfortable furniture and the best view of both the beach and Ocean Ave. On the 9th floor end unit so we had the benefit of overlooking the beach, and a natural habit below the condo. Clean, comfortable and the weather was amazing.

"Not a great place at all"

I love to review places that give great service and typically just overlook ones that aren't good, but this one has to be told. I'm not sure how anyone gave this place 5 stars. There were no clear directions as to where to check in among all their buildings, and was difficult to navigate at night. The parking area was fenced off for what I assume was construction which led us to another parking garage that was too tight and caused damage to my vehicle. I mentioned it to the front desk and he said that happens to guests all the time, and he would never park there (this was after we had to wait quite a while for someone to show up at the front desk). Our room was old, rundown and smelled funny. There were cracks in the walls, stains on the beds, and rust spots in the bathroom. The evening front desk gentlemen was polite and offered us an extended hour checkout the next day since we didn't arrive until 10pm. He said we simply needed to call the next morning to confirm availability. Then that rude woman in the morning said NO it was not allowed and was company policy no matter what. She wouldn't even check if the rooms were filled or not, which I knew they weren't as the gentleman the night before said they weren't fully booked, and I went online and found availability with no trouble. The only redeeming feature of this place was the restaurant staff and breakfast variety, which was part of our package price for this stay. Luckily we only had to endure one night here, and I would never recommend Caravelle to anyone.
