We were upgraded to a suite and it was beautifully appointed. Everything was new and beautiful. The bed was most excellent. I really wanted to stay forever

My family and I were all going to stay at the Caravelle Resort. Due to the hurricane that damage part of the resort, one of the rooms we booked was unavailable. The manager was nice enough to give my family options on our rooms. It all worked out for the best.

"This Place Sucks"

This place is a dump! They should have a large sign that says BEWARE! The minute we pulled into the garage it should have been a clue to run, the place was piled with garbage, dirty and boxes full of crap, we entered the lobby which seemed clean but as they say looks are deseving. To get to the elevator we had to walk through a dark, dirty alleyway full of trash. After 30 minutes the elevator arrived, went to our room which was dirty and disgusting. The door did not lock, room was not as advertised, sliding doors didn’t open, the oceanfront view was only if you went outside on the roof. This is not at all what is advertised on their website. We left the same night and received a refund! We will never recommend this place nor be back! This is rated a ZERO but am required to give at least 1 Star.,,

"Not impressed. Pictures can be deceiving."

Our particular room was not bad, however, the building itself needed lots of cleaning. Stairwells were filthy, and smelled like urine. The pool area was very small and parking was a nightmare. The location was good, but I probably would not stay here again.

On arrival, the reservation desk was busy. It was not the busy that made it take so long. They were changing up shifts right at 3 pm! Then, the parking is horrible!! The places are low and narrow. When you get to top without a place, nowhere to turn around. The parking across the street has old furniture and fixtures on 2nd floor. The elevators take forever. The lazy river and pools water levels were low. The bed feels like a sheet over a hard board!!

Been to Caravelle many times over the years & always returned... This last visit Aug 8-12 was a gift for my 50th birthday from my girlfriend, who works very hard for her income & when able to take a short vacation looks to relax...Well for 3 nights we heard continuous clicking in one wall near a breaker box... Sounded like major electrical issues going on... Then not to mention the AC unit would crap out between 4am and sun up, cycling off and not cooling room correctly... And when we complained we were told sorry we weren’t happy! Terrible Customer Service!

I am a travel agent and I booked a week stay for my mother and aunt checking in today (8-12-18). It has been impossible to contact the resort or reservation line. When I reached someone at first they told me they could charge the balance of the room, leaving just over $100, but needed to send an authorization form to the email. The form was never sent, neither was the confirmation of the amount paid on the reservation. I have never had such a difficult experience making a reservation and paying on a reservation for customers. Unless their resort is above average I won't be sending ANYONE back.
