Stopped in Myrtle Beach on our way back home to Florida. Resort was clean, close to several restaurants and an amazing deal for the $$$. Pool area was loud late at night due to hours, but hey we all were kids at one time. Will return soon!!

Nothing but all positives for the carribean resort!! Room was great, super nice people working here, and our girl had a great time in all the awesome pools. Only negative comment is that the water slide should stay open more, but this is not enough to drop the rating. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay here!

"10 Days in Myrtle"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We recently stayed for 10 days at Caribbean in the Cayman Tower. The hotel location itself is fabulous, right at the end of the hotel strip adjacent to the Golden Mile. This was our third stay in the past year and once again we used the surface parking across the street from Chelsea House rather than the parking garage. On a personal level I like parking there not only for ease, but I can glance up at my family's old condo at Chelsea House and still see the seashell stickers my Grandma put up when my great uncle ran into the sliding glass door heading to the balcony...but I digress. Surface parking is super convenient, however we used the parking garage a handful of times with ease. Check in was a breeze. We arrived the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and it maybe took 15-20 mins from the time we arrived in the lobby to having keys in hand. It was nice to see the bar area construction finished since our last visit in May. When we got up to our room it was spectacular. We stayed in an individually owned unit, you could tell from some locked cabinets and extra decor. Very well decorated and appointed. The pools were well maintained and there was never a problem finding a chair during this stay. All of the staff that we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We ran into a few issues during our stay, but nothing that would prevent me from visiting again. Like other hotels in Myrtle Beach housekeeping is unpredictable. Some days it happens early, sometimes in the evening, a few days we asked about it at the front desk cause no one showed up, a few days we were like forget it we have plenty of towels no big deal. However when we went to the front desk with an issue like, "We haven't seen housekeeping are they still working?" or "We need more toilet paper." The issues were resolved quickly. The most frustrating issue we encountered was an unexpected power outage that was supposed to occur from 6-10 am, but ended up happening from 8:30-3:30. Typically it wouldn't have been a big deal as we would have been enjoying the beach all day, however as luck would have it.... it rained that day. So you didn't even have the option of just chilling in the room and preparing food, cause there was no power to do so. Luckily we had brought some coolers so to be on the safe side we put of refrigerator goods in them and left the condo for a few hours. I know the hotel didn't have control over this, but it would have been nice if something had been done for the guests that day. Pizza party since no one could cook? Vouchers or coupons distributed? Our last night at the hotel was the night prior to Irma making her way to the Grand Strand. We were on the 21st floor and it sounded like someone had a jackhammer on the roof. We called the front desk to see if some sort of work was going on, but apparently the wind was causing the railings to rattle. I can honestly say we hadn't experienced that previously at our stays at Caribbean, but it didn't make for the most restful night. However, how many times do you have hurricane/tropical storm force winds coming towards the hotel. Overall I would still give the Caribbean 5 stars. It's a good location. Good value for your money. Family friendly. We took advantage of the sun fun perks while we were there and got a free ticket to the aquarium and movies for the room. I'm already ready to go back in the spring.

"Beautiful views! Full kitchen! Recommended!"

My mother and I take an annual vacation, and this was our second time staying at Caribbean Resort and Villas. The staff is excellent and their service is remarkably impeccable. The front desk, towel, gift shop, and valet attendants as well as housekeeping were all incredibly helpful and kind. The lazy river and hot tub were both so relaxing, and they were clean! There is a very large area for kids to play and a slide that even adults enjoy going down. I keep meaning to go down it, but I always forget. Their kids area actually makes me wish I was a kid again. Last year, there was live music by the pool, which I loved. The pool bar has yummy drinks and a few food items (chicken fingers, fries, hot dog, grilled cheese)--I recommend the chicken fingers with their cajun salt, which you have to specifically request. :) The rooms are nice and spacious. Having a kitchen in the room was a must, because we wanted to be able to fix food instead of going out to eat every night. It is hard to find a place with a full kitchen, especially one that is updated and clean. There is also a DVD player in the living room, so make sure to bring movies or seasons of your favorite show in case it rains. :) For reference, since there are several different types of rooms and buildings, we stayed in the Dominican Tower and had the room that opens up to the bedroom then to the kitchen, and then to the living room and balcony. Another major plus is that it is a quick walk to the pier and many restaurants and shops. There is even a Starbucks directly across the street. You really cannot beat this place for its location, cleanliness of both rooms and facilities, atmosphere, and price. Most places that have these amenities and are nice are much more expensive. We will be returning next year! Just make sure to ask for a high floor so that you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean!

"Carribbean Vacation (Almost!) "

Came here as last minute replacement for Punta Cana vacation ruined by Hurricane Maria. Wife booked online with a 35% room discount. Great location, mid strand. Stayed in the Dominican Tower in deluxe 3 bedroom oceanfront SUITE. Lots of room! Complete kitchen, two full bathrooms. The suite was all very tidy with awesome oceanfront view. There are several pool options, indoor and out. The pool deck is feet from ocean sand and surf. We brought our own beach chairs and umbrella and note that you are required to pitch your umbrella well back on the sand, so lifeguard view is not obstructed we were told. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking is a close with easy access. Last minute items are walking distance away at pharmacy. Will return. Recommended.
