"Soon to become Hilton...but still has a way to go"
July, 2016
Read our review on Trip advisor....that says it all.
Tip: Bring your own snacks, drinks and sandwhich meats...they only have one resturant loctaed on the fishing pier and food is nothing more than below average bar food.

Location of the hotel is great, it is right on the ocean and at the pier. The room was fantastic and all of their rooms have a great view. I will stay there again.

We were placed here by Hilton Grand Vacations as a sales promotion for their properties. I guess this just recently became a Hilton property - either shortly before or after Hurricane Matthew 2016 - some of the property is still under renovation, but the areas that have been renovated are very acceptable! Had a great time and the staff was really great, especially at the restaurant where they accommodated our 2 year old and were VERY attentive and helpful! Food was good. Pools were decent (definitely older and in need of renovation) but a 2 year old doesn't know this so he was VERY thrilled to spend time in the lazy river, indoor pool and at the beach. Beach acres is great and the view from the room is great as well. Overall I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Not the best place to eat. Food was average. Glad that I had a car so that I could drive to stores and restaurants. Suggest that you have transportation if you stay here. Hotel is right under the flight line for the local airport so there is that noise. It did not bother me. Great access to the beach. Elevators can be slow.

They are updating rooms and facilities. I would love to go back next year to year and a half to see the progress. This could be gem among all the hotels on Myrtle Beach. Loved that it was right on beach and had several pools.

"Disappointing Stay"

Could not find registration desk. Room smelled musky. No bar at pool or near beach. No cocktail waitress. Cleaning staff on cell phones talking constantly. Logistical layout of hotel is horrible. The gym was small with only a few machines that were rarely available.

Hotel is still recovering from a hurricane last year. The airport is very nearby and there are airplanes constantly going overhead Day and night. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was soft and comfortable. Views are of the ocean in each room. Conference center was nice but you have to travel up and down floors for events. Only one elevator that was slow in the conference center. The beaches are nice but not the sugar sands of the Gulf of Mexico, and there was litter like bottle caps, etc in the sand. With all of this said, it is a nice place to stay.
