Beautiful hotel that has a great location. Above expectations for room, happy hour and made to order breakfast. Better than a lot of other Embassy Suites even though most are always good as well

"Not luxurious suites as described "

I’ll start with the pros since they don't outweigh the cons: Good shuttle route around the area to restaurants and shops Of course the hot breakfast Of course the manager's reception Good beach views from the balconies Cons: I called guest services from my room 4 times during the week and each time I had to wait at least 5 minutes before someone answered. There should be a dedicated line for guests that have already paid to stay instead of waiting for one of the two or three personnel at the front desk to take your call in between checking in large numbers of guests. 3 of the 4 times I called was because of noise. There was bumping, thumping, running, and jumping each night above us. I understand this is a family hotel; but people with kids should still be mindful. If that doesn't work, you call guest services, right? The personnel that took my call said each time they would get security up there; but, the noise still persisted. The problem - not once did anyone call me back to ask me if the problem was resolved or if there was anything they could do. I’m not even sure security even went to the floor above to investigate. Ceilings - if you have a love hate relationship with (or just hate) popcorn ceilings, this is not the place for you. And if you're over 5’9”, you won't have much head space in the sink area. Outdated furnishings- carpet, bed, and couches are old (probably as old as the ceilings). Our couch was dirty. If you want more updated and modern rooms, choose somewhere else. These are not luxury suites. Shower - like the ceilings and furnishings, the shower is dated. You can see the dirt between the tiles. Also, there is a cloth curtain hung that probably hasn't been changed to wash in a while so beware. Internet - you have to sign in to the internet through your browser each morning. You will not reconnect each day. Plugs - there is only one outlet on the lamp on each night stand. So, if you have several devices, bring an adapter with multiple ports or be prepared to charge your devices in the common area overnight. *Pool - there are 2 pools and 1 hot tub at the embassy - both of which are swarmed with kids every hour of the day. How about the people there on business or on vacation without kids??? There should be 1 adult pool OR have adult swim hours for both pools in place each day OR keep the hot tubs off limits to kids. On top of that, the DJ’s played kid songs the whole time. There's only so many times I want to hear cotton eyed joe. This was the most disappointing of all the cons to me. I didn't have peace in my room and I couldn't even relax in a pool.

"Good but needs improvement in some areas."

The hotel is a perfect location and the shuttle to local areas is great! However, even though I know it can't be guaranteed, I called and asked for early checkin. Very few rooms were ready and we had to wait until 4 for our room. They have no place to store luggage or any offers for you to change to get on the beach/pool. Basically wasted a day of vacation. There were people lying down on the lobby couches waiting for their rooms. When they did finally get them, all at once after 4 PM, there was a line to get on the elevators. The restaurant is very limited in their selections and except for the pizza, the food wasn't good. I ordered a Caesar Salad and the croutons were like rocks. Pool service was a joke. There was a 20 minute wait in line to order food at the bar and then you were told it was a 40 minute wait for the food. Unless you choose to eat in the indoor facility, there are no other options. Housekeeping was also very slow. Our room wasn't cleaned until 4 PM the first day of our stay even though the carts were in the hall early. The breakfast was good although there is not a good selection of fruits and the pastries/donuts are the boxed varieties- no nice muffins or pastries. We bought them at the coffee bar to have with our coffee after eating the regular breakfast. The evening reception was fine. I love staying here because it is a great location and nice hotel. They just need to improve a few issues.

"Great Happy Hour and Breakfast"

We choose this hotel for its happy hour and breakfast. The staff are always friendly. The only downfall is that the rooms could use a bit of updating. The pools were very crowded but i guess that is what you get in summer months.
