"Not what they told you about the resort at all"

Was told by two different people when I called the resort that the units were great, up to date, and that we would be very pleased with our stay. When we arrived we went to check the unit out and found a nasty kitchen, wood-like flooring with glue coming up in between the boards which were sticky as you walked on them. We were told that you have complete kitchen set up- such as dishes, pot/pans, silverware, etc. We actually had 4 plates, 3 bowls, 2 forks, a spatula that look as if it has been used for years with crude all over it, a frying pan that was so scratched that no one should use it, no serving bowls at all, and I could go on and on. The stove top looked as though it had never been cleaned, The only good thing was that the fridge had an ice-maker which alleviated the need to go and search for ice. I think this will be my last time at this resort as well as my last time at Myrtle Beach. For the last three times I've come here, I've been totally disappointed. The resorts and hotels apparently don't see the need to keep up their properties any longer - they've probably made all the money they need so now let's just have a place to stay for the people that are desperate to come to this old, used town that used to be so full of life and excitement. The properties used to be immaculate and you felt as though you were on vacation instead of having to clean everything that you touch. I don't have any need in going back to Myrtle Beach again. There are so many other nice places to visit that will appreciate your money and loyalty and will make sure that the place you come to use as your home for a week/or two, and is somewhere you'd like to call home.

Stayed 3 nights with my daughter during her college spring break and our Westie. Nice room, very nice staff and extremely pet-friendly. Only negative was that the internet in our room ranged from non-existant to extremely slow. Called the support line and the person on the line was able to get us connected but only briefly and the connection was too slow to be of any value. The internet in the lobby, however, was among the fastest that I have seen. I had to do some work during our trip and just camped out in the lobby. The staff was very apologetic about the internet issue and made me as comfortable as possible. Would definitely return and would bring the dog again.

We booked a room here as they had the best off season rate, it's Ocean front and it was out first time to Myrtle Beach. 1st we booked an ocean VIEW room. Check in go to the room and nope not ocean view. It was a view of the side of the building. Go to the front desk and Michael was very nice. He switched us to an ocean FRONT, Kitchenette for only about $10 extra/night. The resort needs some SERIOUS updating. The rooms, halls, especially the pool area! It's nice to have a heated pool but their pool is just too hot. The hot tub is bordering on scalding. The beds are old, squeaky and sunken in mattresses. Very, very low water pressure. Front desk staff, other than Michael needs extensive training in customer service and hospitality. **SIDE NOTE: NOT PERTAINING TO RESORT! If it's your first time going to Myrtle Beach, beware it's run down and crawling with junkies. You almost have to have your blinders on to enjoy yourself. It's actually quite scary. There are more enjoyable places to relax Ocean front.

Aways found this property worth the $, and pet Friendly. Our grand sons enjoy the pools in the winter and the beach in the spring / summer / fall. We find the rooms very clean and comfortable. We have stayed here multiple times and never had a bad stay.

I will start by saying I have stayed here many times. That being said it is getting worse. First a few warnings for future guests. 1. It is not a smoke free resort. 2. It is not just for small dogs. 3. Security is lacking. Now I could blame the guests for not obeying the rules, and using common sense. However their are always going to be people who break the rules and try to get away with whatever they can. Now as far as management goes that is a different story. They turn a blind eye to everything. They don't care about the smoking. They don't care about renting to locals that deal drugs from the rooms . The homeless also know this place very well. They don't care what dogs come in. Meaning what size, or how many per room. etc. They don't enforce the cleaning up after your pet rules.Or no pets around the pool area. The fact is all you have to say is you have a service animal, and your in. No proof needed. and I guess security is just an added expense. Now let me try to take management off the hook. I'm going to lay this all at the feet of Wyndham. Since they call the shots. When the bottom line is money. The guest experience gets put on the back burner. Eventually it will catch up to them. Now why do I stay here. They are ocean front. The rooms that we get are pretty good size, and come with what we want. We like the location. They are pet friendly, even though they enforce none of their own rules, and finally they have good off season rates, even better if you want to call your dog a service animal even though I never would. I'm hoping they will make major improvements by next year. I will give them a bit of a break this year because of Hurricane Matthew. Please don't respond with another form letter apology. Just do the right thing. Its not rocket science.
