Schooner II Beach & Racquet Club in Myrtle Beach, SC

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and had a side view of the beautiful Atlantic ocean. This is an older building and on the quiet end of the strip. Nothing too fancy or overdone. Small outdoor pool and deck area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bunk beds in the room was a definite bonus. Location offered racquet ball court, sauna and small pool. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

The rooms have recently been renovated and service is always excellent. There is a ton of parking of you’re willing to park across the street. The 1 bedroom condos have a great view of the ocean and also has an alcove with two bunk beds. The rooms are large and spacious and its close to a ton of restaurants. Its within walking distance to the boardwalk but far enough away so that you don’t have to deal with the rowdy. The higher the room, the quieter it is.

It was amazing. We stayed in a two bedroom suite at this resort. All of the 2 bedroom suites are on the oceanfront. When we arrived and saw that beautiful blue ocean, it was breathtaking. Our room also had 2 bathroom, a full kitchen, living room, and dining area. We found our room clean, filled with pots, pans, dishes, toaster, coffee pot,blender, microwave, silverware, glasses, and all the kitchen necessities, Nice central air/heat and the wifi worked very well. The balcony was nice and cozy. We had a nice view of the ocean from the master bedroom, as well as the living room. You could hear the sounds of the ocean from inside the resort. There were tons of brochures and coupons in the lobby. There was so much to do and see in Myrtle Beach. Remember that this is a resort, so there is no breakfast served. There are several grocery stores nearby, ie" Kroger, and Neighborhood Walmart Grocery Store if you need to buy groceries. We ate out a lot. We were happy to see the heated outdoor pool. Upstairs, we played ping-pong (table tennis) racquetball and the sauna. There was an exercise room as well. Coffee was served daily on 2nd floor. The room was so peaceful. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the local attractions. We will definitely go back.

The good... in March the price was good for us. The rooms were more than sufficient. The rooms were clean, and the ocean view was great. The people were nice and from the good we would want to come back. The bad... petty but for the money you will pay in the summer I sure hope they switch out the towels and sheets. They were more $50-$75 a night hotel stuff than this place should be. Again petty but the TVs were very small for what you pay. I’m a bang for your buck guy... this is a good bang for your buck in the off season but during the summer no way. The conclusion... great people and place in the off season, but not worth the $$$ in the summer.

This resort is not new by any means but it is very comfortable with a beautiful location. The rooms were clean, spacious and fully stocked. Staff was very friendly and eager to help make our holiday a memorable one. The weather was a little chilly this time of year but we were able to spend time on the beach. It was nice to enjoy Myrtle Beach attractions without the crowds. Our group can't wait to return.
