The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was very clean and well kept but the walls were pretty thin you could hear just about everything. The hotel itself was close to everything we wanted to do .

I'm so glad Dawn was working. If she wasn't I may not have had a good experience. When I checked in I asked for a different room due to the fact it was a terrible view and the room "Seemed" to have terrible upkeep. I called downstairs and asked for a different room and female named Chris was super short with me. She never checked to see if there were any other alternatives. I was so pissed knowing what I knew about the room but I still didn't overstep. I was very patient. Talked to Dawn, who actually took a deeper look and found another room. If it hadn't been for her I would have checked out and reported the cleanliness of the room. But since Chris was so short with me and unwilling to help I'd be remiss if I didn't tell my story. Her service alone was terrible. Dawn was amazing. I can't make it up. Thanks Dawn for saving my stay you're amazing.

This hotel is way over priced. Thankfully I received a discounted rate of $105 per night and my work is paying for the stay. I would have said $105 is a fair price for the room, but this room starts at $305. No microwave just a fridge and personal coffee maker. Only view is a roof. Parking is not free and the garage is horrid. Way too small and the elevator does not take you inside the hotel. My bed was wonderful and the cover and sheet ratio was perfect. The bathroom was very nice as well. However, walls were super thin and my neighbors were not kind. Check in was spastic. The man that checked me in was super awkward and slow. Parking outside was not organized and people parked everywhere and there was a long line. I believe a fraternity conference or something was taking place the same weekend and the kids were too immature. Safe to say if I personally was paying full price for this room I would have been very upset.

So.....on a last minute deal, my sister from MD and her family invited my wife and I over to Myrtle Beach to celebrate her son-in-law's birthday. It was only 6 hours from Atlanta so we figured "why not" ?? We had previously arranged for an early morning check-in (2 AM) but when we got there, they had nothing available. As we were in the process of booking another hotel, an opening "came open". As far as parking, they have an area for guests, however, what really sucked is that there were elevators at only one end of the garage, AND there is no direct connection from the deck to the hotel, meaning that you would have to walk to the end of the deck to take the elevator down to the ground floor, THEN walk next door to the hotel. The room itself.....basic.......nothing to scream about......and vending was a joke.......only a soda machine @ $1.50 per can. To get a snack, you would have to go to the ground floor and hit that vending machine. The only positives I could give was that it's a 5 minute drive either way to the beach or to Broadway at the Beach.

Very nice hotel and staff. Close to the beach. About a 5 min drive. The also treat SPG Platinum Members great by giving you a room on the top floor when possible. They also have a Club Lounge which is awesome. Sometimes properties that should have a Club Lounge, don't. So, the fact that this property does is nice. I definitely recommend.

"NEVER AGAIN! You couldn’t pay me to stay here!"

I WOULD NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS STAY AT Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel AGAIN! This was my first and last experience at a Sheraton Hotel! There’s a reason why they reviews are so mixed about this property - the service you get depends on who’s there! First off they don’t have a shuttle from the airport. We arrived Friday 9/22 and the front desk attendant William was amazing. He said the concierge had a free gift for us after check in. We went over to concierge and they immediately duped us into going to their Broadway Plantation property to hear a timeshare presentation. Once we committed, we couldn’t back out or our credit card would be charged $132. Friday night around 1145pm a middle aged man who did not identify himself knocked on our door and said they had received a noise complaint and asked us to keep the noise down (it was possibly no more than loud talking through their VERY thin walls). I stood in the doorway and silently acknowledge his request and he continuously escalated the conversation to the point I felt like we were physically in danger. Without any verbal or physical response from me he accused me of “looking like” I had an attitude and “causing trouble” and told me we would be evicted from our room. He continued to yell in my face for almost 5 mins as I stood silently in the doorway expressionless and dumbfounded. I never acted aggressively or made any gestures toward him. He just kept on getting louder and more threatening! Finally one of my friends in the room yelled out that she was naked and she didn’t feel comfortable so please close the door and the guy finally left. I found out that his name was Gary, one of the security officers. I called to the front desk and reported this incident. The agent asked me “oh was Gary being a little condescending?” After I was very clear that I was to the point of feeling like I would be physically threatened. She totally blew me off. The next morning I spoke to the front desk manager Blake and he told me that because I booked through a 3rd party there was nothing he could do. He also said I was just being dramatic and he couldn’t take me seriously! He eventually offered to change my room but said that if they felt the need to do so they could send Gary to our room again as he would be working all weekend. I have reported this to Sheraton’s corporate office but I have not heard any follow up. We were treated like 2nd class citizens over and over again in this hotel because we booked through a third party (in the words of the employees). Beyond this incident, our first room wasn’t properly cleaned (Shower was stuck, sink dirty, walls looked like a smoking room), nor the second room (smashed mosquitoes and bloody boogers on the walls). The “oceanview” was pretty crappy. There is a community microwave down the hall but none in your room. The only decent things were the M Bar (Phil is awesome) and breakfast at Vidalia’s wasn’t bad.
