"No energy!"
August, 2016
Our family has been to the New Orleans HB Gospel Brunch and it was wonderful, high energy and lively. I booked the Gospel Brunch based on our previous experience and was very disappointed! The music was fine but their was not energy in the room.....it wasn't lively at all. My husband said he almost fell asleep! Go to the Murder Mystery Dinner instead!

"very disappointed"
February, 2015
This was my third time visiting the House of Blues. I enjoyed it so much last year my husband and I decided we HAD to come again... however this will be the last time.. we made reservations a week in advance and was told we HAD to be there by 9:30 because of the crowd. When we arrived there were only 20 people. ( if that ) We were seated away from the entertainment in the atrium, where it was extremely cold! I asked the waitress about moving us to another seat and she assured me that I would warm up... I remained in my coat and gloves the entire time... did I mention the place was empty! Brunch was just ok.. It was not worth the $80.00 that was spent..

A group of us stopped by here for t-shirts and decided to have lunch. Our server was really nice and gave great recommendations. We had a mixture of drinks, some beers were kind of expensive... Our meals were very good and included salmon salad with the BEST cilantro ranch dressing, shrimp and grits, jambalaya that was loaded with meat, shrimp, cajun pasta, etc. We loved our server..she had been there only a few months and had moved down from NY. She was just so dear. HOB is always a fun place to visit when traveling.

"Great restaurant; something for everyone"

I have enjoyed many meals here with my family, including both dinner and the Gospel brunch - a truly special experience. On this visit to the HOB, my daughter and I had a wonderful dinner. The dinner menu here features Cajun style food, such as Jambayala and Cajun Chicken Pasta. Many of the dishes have Cajun flavorings. But if that is not your "cup of tea" there are plenty of other offerings - even for people like me who prefer vegetarian entrees. I had the portabello sandwich, and it was delicious. Over the years, I cannot recall anyone having a meal that they did not enjoy. And the service was excellent. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience, and I will keep coming back.

"Great concert venue"

I have been to HOB many times over the years and it has become my favorite concert venue. Steel Panther, Slayer, Buckcherry, Hellyeah, Cinderella...I've seen lots of great shows there and most only a few feet from the stage. Staff is always courteous and they know how to handle idiots. Beers are a little pricey but that is ok. They also have a nice restaurant with killer fried chicken and a nice steak. Overall, this place is top notch!!!

"Fun deck area"

We didn't eat here because we already had dinner. We were in their deck/patio area having drinks and listening to the band. This area is very rustic but very cool. Plenty of room for everyone. The band was a lot of fun.
