"Our experience"
May, 2018
We went there for our anniversary. We really enjoyed ourselves. The brunch was delicious, the gentlemen cooking the eggs was fantastic, our server was out of this world- he was friendly, energic he didn't let us want for anything. When we arrived there was hardly anybody there (we got there around 9:15-9:30).We didn't leave until about 11:30-12:00. We were finished eating by 10:30 but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we stayed longer to enjoy the great Gospel group that was performing.
I forgot there name but it was on May 20th. They sang happy anniversary to us it was just a fantastic experience and a blessed way to start off your special day

Great, generous brunch with great glorious Gospel songs. The staff was friendly and efficient. Because of our own schedule, we arrived at 9 (opening time) and the crowd was sparse at that time but by the time we left 10:30-11, there was a pretty good crowd, all having a great time. The Gospel group who was performing had a slight lean to a jazz sound, and musicians were spot on. OH, and the building and the absolutely stunning Folk Art display is absolutely riveting. We studied each piece (good way to meet people as you look at the art on the wall of their booth)
Can't wait to go back.

August, 2016
Our family has been to the New Orleans HB Gospel Brunch and it was wonderful, high energy and lively. I booked the Gospel Brunch based on our previous experience and was very disappointed! The music was fine but their was not energy in the wasn't lively at all. My husband said he almost fell asleep! Go to the Murder Mystery Dinner instead!

"very disappointed"

This was my third time visiting the House of Blues. I enjoyed it so much last year my husband and I decided we HAD to come again... however this will be the last time.. we made reservations a week in advance and was told we HAD to be there by 9:30 because of the crowd. When we arrived there were only 20 people. ( if that ) We were seated away from the entertainment in the atrium, where it was extremely cold! I asked the waitress about moving us to another seat and she assured me that I would warm up... I remained in my coat and gloves the entire time... did I mention the place was empty! Brunch was just ok.. It was not worth the $80.00 that was spent..

"Good venue for live music; hard to park though!"

Went to House of Blues on Labor Day weekend to see a Journey cover band named Departure. Got tickets at the box office right before the show and the prices were very reasonable. There's another venue next door and they share parking so it was very congested to get into the parking lot and to find a spot. You can pay for a seat or you can do a standing ticket which I did. There were plenty of places to stand. Easy to get to the bar and easy to get to the bathrooms. Nice stage and the sound was good. I would go again but I would figure out a better way to park.

"Always great food"

Its a tradition to eat here before we leave myrtle beach. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because they keep changing the menu. They had this rockin cornbread some years back and it had onions, corn, peppers, some kind of tangy tomato and it was not your ordinary cornbread you usually get. They still have the cornbread but now it's just plain like every other cornbread, it's still good but boring compared to the one we had 3 years ago. We still go back every year because the food is very delicious and the staff is very nice there.

We came with a party of six; to listen to some live music and eat some food; this past Labor Day Weekend Thursday Evening. We chose to eat out on the deck and listen to the live band. Much smaller menu than inside; and mostly finger food. The Brisket of Beef sandwiches were delicious; as were the Nachos. The beer was good. Our outside waitress was very friendly and attentive. I had to go inside and order a margarita and some fries take out; because they did not serve them on the deck (fries and sweet potato fries should be served outside). The live band was very good; and the atmosphere;ambiance was excellent. My son enjoyed playing some billiards ($1 a game - good bargain). I bought two grossly overpriced t-shirts but I like them very much. I want to come back in the future to experience the GOSPEL BRUNCH on Sunday at 9 AM. I heard it is quite and event.

Went based on coupon we bought. Glad I did. Sever Lois was very good with recommendations. Do not miss happy hour 4 to 7. The voodoo shrimp appetizer was very good. Blacked salmon was a good choice. My son had new york strip and it was a generous portion. My wife is the burger lover and had the BBQ bacon burger. She felt it was one of the best she has eaten at the grand strand.

This was a surprise dinner for my family. This was a fun time, the food was ok. Didn't really have choice on what to order, but they did give my son fries instead of rice. I like how they try to include some of the audience into the plot. It was my 50th B-day and they included me. I wish I would have known ahead of time then I could have prepared myself to look more suspicious. Also, I feel like the show was a bit rushed. All in all, we a had a really good time.
