"Family Fun"
August, 2016
We had a wonderful time! I have two children ages 11 and 12 and they loved it! The actors/staff are friendly and talented! The food is very good. They usually serve a chicken dish and a salad. We have gone to the HB Murder Mystery Dinner for the last two summers and plan to go next summer!

If you go into this with the right attitude it can be fun. Put your inhibitions aside and play along with the actors and you will have a good time. The food was good but I did think the price was a bit steep for this event.
Tip: Be prepared to climb many stairs to get to the room.

"Humor and Intrigue"
June, 2016
This was the first experience of this kind for our family of four (including two teenagers 18 and 14). The event was well organized went seamlessly. The entertainers did a great job unfolding the story, and the humorous elements really added to the overall enjoyment of the show. What really surprised us was the quality of the meal. The salad was made up of premium greens, and the chicken was done perfectly. Quite an accomplishment when serving a large group! I would definitely recommend this dinner theatre for anyone interested in an entertaining interactive experience.
Tip: Interacting with other guests helps you to solve the mystery.

"Great Time!!"
October, 2015
I've always wanted to go to one of these and finally got the chance by taking my Mom for her birthday, along with my cousin. It was fun to follow along and try to pick out who was the killer. Also, the food was so food. I would definitely come back.
Tip: get ready to have a good time!

The theater is located on the second floor. Going up the stairs were not well lighted. Seating were a little tight. The people I sat with was great. The food was good. I really enjoyed the show. The show was worth the money. I would suggest this show to anyone who would like a good night of family entertainment.

The Beauty and I went with another couple. Got there early and had cocktails at the bar in the House of Blues. It was sold out. We got in line at 6:45 but they didn't open the rope till after 7. You have to climb stairs. There is an elevator and while some elderly used it it appeared some healthy folks used it to beat the line. If you say 6:45 then open at 6:45. Otherwise a fast moving entertaining time. Only one bartender which slowed things down. We all thought for a basic chicken dish that it was very good. Airline chicken breast with wing attached. Well cooked and tasty. Sides of rice and squash also good. Prior there was a small salad and a dinner roll. Afterwards a nice slice of bread pudding with small scoop of ice cream. Not sure why people don't think this is enough. They must be big eaters or just big. It was plenty. Price for the four of us was $198. Not bad as tickets at any theater down here cost $50 a person. Here you get a meal plus a show. You sit at community tables and get to know other vacationers and locals. The murder mystery is fun with a lot of funny dialogue and double entendres. If you stay away from alcohol you can have a nice couples night for less than $100 and that includes taxes and the tip.

"Its a good show, but there is a problem"

The venue is House of Blues, upstairs in an adjacent room that is set up specifically for this event. We had a good time and the Dinner Mystery definitely threw me for a loop with who the guilty person it. That being said, the dinner is VERY basic. Beverage choices are water and tea (and a bar that serves alcoholic drinks)! For Dinner we got some chicken, rice and a vegetable medley (we both left hungry, and went someplace else to eat afterwards). The bar in the room has a bartender that serves mixed drinks and bottled beer. The problem is, some of the people there got completely hammered, and that didn't seem to bother the staff as they kept interrupting the murder mystery show and thus making it UN-enjoyable. Also the seats at the tables are folding metal chairs that really aren't that comfortable for sitting for 2 hours. They are also set up very close together, like sardines. Overall, we will not go back

Fun for the family but only if they're teenage mainly because some of the crowd can get a bit loud with excitement after a few drinks. Staff and cast were great and very entertaining.
