Beautiful theater; friendly staff and ushers; nice gift shop; very good show and music; comfortable seating and inside temperature. Their Christmas show was similar to others in the area but really superior. Great singers and dancers and skits. Very professionally done.
While vacationing in Myrtle beach, we saw the Christmas Show at the Alabama Theater on November 14th. I have been to Myrtle Beach many times and have never been to the Alabama Theater before this trip. The show was great!! The comic was hilarious and there was a lot of diversity in this show. Christmas carols and dancing but also very entertaining skits. Santa arrived in his sleigh above the audience and then the children in the audience were able to go up on stage during a song. Very personal show and will definitely go back to this theater.
Every theater is running a Christmas show -I'm sure they are all good but the show at the Alabama theater is awesome! Every one of their singers and dancers are real artists. The first part of the show was more secular with songs like Let it Snow and Santa arrives before intermission. The second half is set more in a mansion living room with an awesome Christmas tree and more religious based songs like carols and Mary did you know. The stage band is also very talented. One of my favorite parts was at the beginning when the maintenance man/comic read from announcements about no photos and a warning that they would be saying Christmas and Merry Christmas throughout the program. If this offends you -well you would just have to be offended! If you want to "get in the mood" this show will do it! Merry Christmas!
The show was not so exciting. The comedian was the best part. If you are seeing Carolina Opry Christmas Show, see this first then you won't have anything to compare, thus no disappointment.
