"Grand Experience"

Each year as the Christmas Holidays approach, my wife and I look forward to starting our celebration with this show. We have never been disappointed! At one time, we tried others in the area but could not find one to compare. The production, talent, and costumes are the best. We find ourselves seeing this one every year, often more than once.

"Time and again"
January, 2015
In this day of competing mediums, it is great to have the shared experience, one that the whole family can enjoy, that does not involve looking at a phone, TV, or computer. Year after year my family anticipates the attending of this seasonal event, and that includes our youngest grandson, age five, to this sixty three year old grand-dad. This last year, with the recent return of our son from his military tour in Afghanistan, we were not disappointed in the least as he and his kids joined us for this events. All the kids want to go again next year!

We were not sure what to expect but it was an afternoon out. Boy were we surprised and delighted! We have been to other theaters and shows and found them a little hokey. Not this one. The comedian was very funny and entertaining. The host was a true southern gentleman and could also perform. The cast and scenery were fantastic and the content fantastic. It is a true Christmas show were one feels invigorated and happy. It was nice in this day and age where everyone is afraid not to be politically correct that we found a group that just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas like it used to be. We felt truly blessed and would return. Thank you for a great afternoon. P.S. On a down side I know everywhere you go there is someone trying to sign you up for a seminar about time shares but, once I say no don't keep sending me back with offers of discount coupons and free Alabama Bucks that they will not activate unless you go to the seminar.I was glad to pay full price for the tickets but tell these people to lay off.

My wife and I attended the Christmas Show at the Alabama Theater, not knowing what to expect. Having attended a huge number of Broadway shows over the years, we expected it to mediocre at best. In fact, it was a fabulous experience for everyone. The production and performers met or exceeded what one finds on Broadway. Everything was topnotch, especially the comedian Riki Mokel who was hilarious and engaged the audience thoroughly and in a wonderful way. After the show, we were invited up on the stage to pose for photos with the performers.

This is a well-coordinated effort. Bus logistics, parking, loading and unloading was easy and efficient. We were warmly and sincerely greeted by everyone we encountered. The show was quite good. The work that goes into the production, performers, lighting and those behind the scenes, was evident. I found the comedian funny at first, but for me, his comedy wore thin with over-use. I would recommend everyone take in at least two shows. They are different but each has merits and drawbacks. I did NOT enjoy the spring coming thru my seat cushion!
