August 30 – September 1: Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival
The 8th annual Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival continues through the weekend with lots of barbeque, entertainment, and family activities. There will be a beer garden, free boat rides and wake board demonstrations. Takes place in Grand Park at The Market Common.
Say goodbye to another summer at the Surfside Pier in Surfside Beach. The event lasts from 4-8pm and will have plenty of family-friendly activities.
The band Six Styles, from Greensboro, N.C., will be performing on Main Street from 7-9pm.
September 7: South Carolina’s Largest Garage Sale
Myrtle Beach Convention Center will house the largest garage sale in South Carolina from 7am-2pm. Admission is free but there is a $3 to park per car.
Catch a free showing of the Disney/Pixar film “Brave” at 7:30pm at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach.
Beach band The Fantastic Shakers will be performing from 7-9pm at McLean Park. Bring a blanket or beach chair to enjoy the free show.
Join thousands of volunteers as they rid beaches, lakes, and marshes of trash and debris. This annual event will take place from 9am-12pm. Find out more about volunteering online.
St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church of Myrtle Beach will host its 22nd Annual Greek Festival in the fellowship hall and on the church grounds on the corner of Hwy 17 By-pass and 33rd Avenue North. Sample gyros, roasted lamb, spanikopita, mousaka, plus lots of pastries and breads. Event hours are Thursday 11am-9pm, Friday and Saturday 11am-10pm, and Sunday 12-7pm.

Main Street in North Myrtle Beach will be the site of the 10th annual Irish Italian Festival from 10am-4pm on Saturday. Enjoy plenty of food, live music, street performers, arts & crafts vendors, and a spaghetti eating competition. Admission is free.
